Paris is my 1st patchwork

Finally I tried it... my 1st patchwork project. After having read some good instructions I gave it a try. I measured, cut and sewed as accurate as possible so that the patches matches perfectly together.
In between good ironing.
And then it was finished...my 1st nice patchwork top. The lovely Paris picture in the middle is from the adorable graphicsfairy. I love Karen's graphics already for so long. Thanks for sharing all these beautiful graphics.

Then some more sewing. Et voilà ... here is my Eiffel Tower pillow. I was pretty proud as it worked out so well.

I hope you agree?
I'll be linking this post to the graphicsfairy's Brag Monday.

Lisa + Kim

There are new kitties at my parents' home. They' re from the same farm like our Lilly.
They look quite the same except Lisa has shiny white booties.

Welcome home sweeties!

Little bag for girls stuff

I made this little bag for a friend who likes owls. And I knew she would love the fabric with dark base and so beautiful flowers. The lining is again made of the white-red-fabric I already used for the giraffe bag.

And this is how it looked finally as a cute birthday present: with a little book to keep all good secrets and 2 small hair slides with owls.

Flowers

I love my flowers.
They shine in so many colours.
They never fade.
I can take them with me to wherever I want.
They apologize if I forget to water them.
They make me smile.

There can't be enough of them.

Weekend

We three had a nice and calm weekend.
This is how it started...get up late and slowly:

... have a delicious and big breakfast. We tried a new little cafè around the corner (saving the dish washing) -- good and comfy. Then a little stroll and on the way back home we made a stop at our weekend bakery. We were so relaxed we just forgot to take the cake we chose with us.
Back home it was already time to take a little nap.

Hey, what are you doing with my best friend?

Her best friend urgently needed a shower and then wanted to dry on the fresh air. Yes, Isbjörn, we will comb your hair then.

And how was your weekend? And what do you think about my new glasses?

Giraffe

I made this bag for a giraffe lover. The outer front and back side are made of grey fabric with cream flowers, the side part has the same pattern but the flowers are now grey on creme ground.

For the lining I chose a cream fabric with a bright red pattern. The red colour matches perfectly the grey from the outside.
The giraffe has a shiny black eye so it can see the world. Keep your eyes open, perhaps you can see this lovely giraffe on your way.
